01/22/02 - Evil Twin, UK Games, Game Loading and ISP Help.
- by Celeryface

Hey Dreamcast fans, Celeryface here to answer your questions and concerns about our site, the Dreamcast community, and whatever else you need to know about our favorite little white box, in the latest edition of the PlanetDreamcast Mailbag.

This week we answer some of your questions and concerns about Evil Twin, Sega Marine Fishing in the UK, and we try to help some people with game loading problems, and setting up your ISP on the Dreamcast. Now on with the mailbag, your letter might be in there!

From: Frank Todarello
Subject: Evil Twin

Hi. Would you tell me if Evil Twin will still be released for the Dreamcast? I've been anticipating this title ever since Rayman 2. There's still 8 million Dreamcast owners out here and I'm sure a lot of us would buy Evil Twin even as Sega pulls the plug on the Console Business. I read that's its due for the PS2 in Feb or March.

Yes, Evil Twin will be released on the Dreamcast but not in North America. It will be available on the PlayStation 2 on our shores but not on the Dreamcast. If you wan't to still purchase the game, it will be released in the UK (in english) on February 22. You can check it out here.

Subject: SEGA MARINE FISHING

Hi,

Just wondered if this game was ever made available to the UK market. If so can you shed any light on where I can locate a copy.

After I received your letter I searched across the net to see if I could find anything on a UK release of Sega Marine Fishing, but I came up empty handed. The GameSpy Store has the game, but I'm not sure how compatible the US version would be with your PAL system.

I've always wanted a Dreamcast but its been till this December that I could afford the price, and who couldn't at $50. With all the great games that were released I couldn't wait to buy them and play them on my Dreamcast but there seems to be a problem. I now currently own 8 games, but the Dreamcast will not load Sonic Adventure nor Grandia 2. I've also had problems with Shenmue and other games but they seem to be sporadic and unpredictable. I even took Sonic back to BestBuy to get a new one that also didn't work. By looking in forums it also seems like this is a common problem, what should I do? I'd hate to miss out on Grandia 2.

Subject: Games Not Loading

Hello, i am looking for a site for some info on the sega machine. My son's machine runs but when you load the games and it says press start button--it does not start the games. I was wondering if there was some sort of troubleshooting I could do or a place that I could take it to be fixed. Please reply. Thank you, Flori

Sega has made available a Customer Service Message Board where you may find similar problems that you are having and may find solutions. If you don't find any solutions there you can contact Sega at 1-800-USA-SEGA (872-7342) or send them an email - [email protected].

Subject: ISP # Help

Hi! I cant go online with my dreamcast. When i write in the dial number, it says Check your ISP Number because it is busy even though its not!!! What do i do? And how do i exactly find out what my ISP # is?

When they are referring to your "ISP #" they mean the phone number that you are dialing. So when setting up your browser make sure that the phone number you enter is correct. To help you even further, Sega has made available a help page for setting up your Dreamcast to go online. You can check it out here. Hope this helps. :)

That concludes another great edition of the PlanetDreamcast Mailbag. Stay tuned as we will be back with more answers to your letters. Be sure to keep sending them. As always, you can send your letters to this address. Maybe you will see your letter in the next edition of the PlanetDreamcast Mailbag. Have fun! :)
